10 Some
useful tips and reminders for web page designers
Sound files
- Make sure iTunes is set to encode MP3,
and not WAV or AIF files.
- If you want your sound file to be played
in the background, set <CONTROLLER="FALSE">.
Video files
- Ideally, a video should be viewed at
its normal size.
- If you want to have a controller on your
movie, remember to add 16 pixels in height to the movie image
size.
Hot Potatoes
- In Hot Potatoes, you can also write the
HTML code for your browser to access the sound or video file
in the title area.
- If your sound or video file is located
in a lower directory than your HTML file, then you will need
to type the relative reference of the sound or video file in
order for your browser to locate it.
- If your sound or video file is located
in a higher directory than your HTML file, then you should type
"../" for every folder that your sound or video file
is above the exercise file.
Copyright
- To find out who owns copyright for a
specific work, check out the Copyright Office database of The Library of
Congress.
